• Deerfield Township School District offers a free, full day preschool program for students who are 3 or 4 years old by October 1st.  The district has 4 preschool classrooms designed around the belief that play allows children to learn about the world and themselves. As children play, they learn new skills, develop coping mechanisms, test new ideas, and master their bodies.

The district adopted Connect4Learning, an innovative, new, interdisciplinary prekindergarten curriculum in 2021. C4L has a research-based, classroom tested foundation for learning that is broken into six curriculum units that address 140 measurable learning objectives and supports 10 fundamental thinking processes. It offers practices and concepts across all four domains - social, emotional, physical, and cognitive, with a focus on math, literacy, science and social emotional learning.

The preschool program operates on the same schedule as the K-8 students.  PK students are able to ride the bus to and from school.  Before and after care is available as well.
